Poorly maintained roads is an example of an adverse conditions most drivers will face at some time. Things such as pot holes, scattered debris, and worn out paint all make traveling a little less safe. Obstacles like pot holes and trash can come up in a moment’s notice. They are typically hard to see until a driver is right in front of them. In the case of large trucks, they can be much more difficult to maneuver around quickly.
Bad Weather
Bad weather presents drivers with dangerous conditions. Conditions such as wet roads can make it harder to control a tractor trailer and can make it extremely difficult to stop. Heavy rainfall and dense fog can make it hard for a driver to see clearly. When visibility is a problem, it can affect the driver’s ability the keep control and stability of the truck as well.
Traffic Flow
Traffic flow can create adverse conditions for a driver. In areas of heavy traffic, truck drivers may have a hard time recognizing cars in their blinds spots and surrounding areas. Furthermore, cars may bob and weave through lanes, cutting off trucks in their path. This may force a truck driver to stop abruptly which can take much longer in a large, heavy truck, and can easily cause an accident.
