However, many people avoid getting their flu shots. Some think that it’s not going to work, while other’s think it’s inconvenient. Still, flu shots are the best way to boost your chances of staying healthy. Plus, many stores, pharmacies, and other places offer flu shots, many times for free. Therefore, it’s always a good idea to get your shot when flu season rolls around. 

Practice good hygiene

Good hygiene is also important for avoiding the workplace flu. People tend to spread the flu in two major ways. This is either through contact, or through the air, by doing things like coughing. However, practicing good hand and respiratory hygiene can help minimize this spread. 

For starters, it helps to clean your hands after you get done touching things that might be germ hot-spots. This could include things which many people  touch, like door handles, or shared tools. Also, it helps to use tissues if you have to cough or sneeze. If you’re around many people who are sick, protective masks can help keep you safe. 

Boost your immune system

It never hurts to do a bit more to boost your immune system to avoid the workplace flu. As it turns out, there’s many ways you can go about doing this. Plus, many of these things will not only help your immune system, but other parts of your health as well. 

For instance, eating healthier and exercising are some good ways to boost your immune system. So is getting plenty of sleep. There’s also supplements and boosters, but the overall effectiveness of these isn’t well-known. In the end, it’s better to use the methods which have been proven to help give your immune system some extra strength.
